Meet Clarenda Harris, wife of NBA star Tracy Mcgrady. The couple met in 1998 when Clarenda, a speech therapy major, was working her way through college at North Carolina State University. At the time, Tracy was shopping for a new car in a Lexus dealership, and couldn’t take his eyes off Clarenda. The two married in September 12th 2006 on a beautiful beach in Los Cabos, Mexico. Clarenda and Tracy have 2 kids together: daughter Layla Clarice(born Jan 25, 2003) and a son Laymen Lamar, (born December 27, 2005). Tracy has another child from a previous relationship with a woman from Bradenton, Florida named Pearl Vega. Tracy had the child with Pearl while he was engaged to Clarenda.
In 2007, Pearl Vega took Tracy to court demanding child support in the amount of $204,000/year. But the judge awarded her $54,156. Pearl Vega argued to a judge back that she would like her daughter to have a lifestyle equal to McGrady’s other children with his wife Clarenda.Judge Donna Berlin,however, recently ruled that Vega just wants to enhance her own lifestyle.
