Meet Erin Barry, wife of former NBA star Brent Barry and now the woman at the center of the Tony Parker and Eva Longoria divorce scandal.
Erin Barry has been making headlines lately because of allegations that she exchanged hundreds of text messages with Tony Parker secretly behind her husband and friend Eva’s back.
Due to this unfortunate turn of events, Erin’s husband Brent, filed for divorce on Oct. 29, 2010 citing “discord or conflict of personalities.” The petition filed says the pair had a prenuptial agreement that went into effect on July 25, 1998 – the day they were married.
Approximately three weeks later, Eva Longoria filed for divorce citing infidelity by Parker.
Two day later, Tony filed his own divorce petition citing “the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent.” Tony reportedly admitted sending flirty text messages to Erin, but said there had been no s*x involved in the relationship.
Who is Erin Barry?
Erin and her husband Brent began dating when they were 16 years old. A decade later, the high school sweethearts tied the knot in 1998 and started a family.They have have two two sons, ages 10 and 4.
Erin and Brent were very close friends with Eva and Tony. Brent was a teammate of Parker’s on the NBA San Antonio Spurs from 2004 to 2008, and the Barrys attended Parker’s lavish wedding in France in 2007.
A close friend of Longoria said, “Eva truly thought she was going to grow old with Tony and have children with him.”
Eva and Tony got married in France in July 2007 after getting engaged in November 2006.
This is the second divorce for Longoria. In 2004, she divorced her first husband, Tyler Christopher, after two years of marriage.
