After getting selected 28th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, former University of Alabama star Mark Ingram met with ESPN’s Suzy Kolber to talk about how it felt being drafted into the NFL.
During the interview, Kolber read Ingram an email on her phone from Mark’s father, who is currently serving nine years in a federal prison for laundering and bank fraud.
After Kolber read the email, Ingram couldn’t hold back his emotions.

Mark’s father played football in the NFL and was drafted 28th overall in the first round of the 1987 Draft. Coincidentally, Mark was drafted at the exact same spot as his father 24 years ago.
