Ever wonder how much money celebrity star contestants make on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars?”
While some stars are able to negotiate higher salaries due to their fame or star power, below are the average salaries for celebrities participating on the show.
Recent information from Popeater’s columnist Rob Shuter gives us some figures of the average salaries.
Rob Shuter reports:
“When you sign up, every contestant gets $150,000 for 6 weeks rehearsals and the first two shows,” an insider with knowledge of the arrangement tells me. “Then every week you survive you make an extra $10,000 then $20,000 then $30,000 and so on, so the winner takes home $350,000.”

Hey – get your grammar correct. Poor English lowers respect for your site. I am refering to the glaring headline, “How Much Money Does Celebrity Contestants Make On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?” It should read, “How Much Money DO Celebrity Contestants Make” and not DOES. Same error in the copy to follow, “Ever wonder how much money does the celebrity star contestants make on ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars?” It actually reads better to say, “Ever wonder how much money A celebrity star CONTESTANT makes on ABC’s ‘Dancing With The Stars?”
