NFL stars Ray Lewis and Reggie Howard are offering emotional and financial support to 10-year-old LaShaun Armstrong, whose mother drowned herself and three children by driving a van into the Hudson River.

Lashaun escaped through a window after the van plunged into the water, and was rescued by a passing driver. La’Shaun’s 25-year-old mother, Lashanda Armstrong, reportedly was distraught over an argument with the children’s father.
After hearing about the April 12 tragedy, Ray Lewis immediately reached out to the distraught child. La’Shaun said meeting Lewis earlier this week was “awesome.”
