The 2011 Essence Music Festival kicked off this weekend starting on Friday (July 2nd,2011). The famous celebrities and fans from all over traveled to New Orleans to enjoy the concerts, food, empowerment conferences and parties. On Friday, the music festival kicked off with artists: Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Miguel, Fantasia, Charlie Wilson, Cherrelle and more.
