Meet Valeshia Butterfield, fiancee of NBA baller Dahntay Jones. The couple recently got engaged and snapped these lovely engagement photos (above and below) during a recent trip to Antigua. The two are all set to get married at her family’s estate in North Carolina this summer.
Before getting engaged to Dahntay, Ms. Butterfield was engaged to rapper “Game,” and she also dated BET’s 106 & Park host Terrence J.
The well accomplished Valeisha Butterfield graduated from Clark Atlanta University in 2000. From 2004-09, she worked on the staff of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, an advocacy group founded by music producer Russell Simmons. Also, Ms Butterfield served as Deputy of Public Affairs in the Obama Administration from 2009 – 2011. The bride-to-be has also dabbled in acting, with roles in the films “Remember the Titans” (2000, starring Denzel Washington) and “Road Trip” (2000, with Tom Green). She is the daughter of U.S. Congressman G. K. Butterfield and N.C. State Representative Jean Farmer – Butterfield.
Dahntay Jones currently plays for the Indiana Pacers. He was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round (20th overall) of the 2003 NBA Draft, but his rights were later traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Jones has played fro several teams including: Memphis Grizzlies (2003-2007), Sacramento Kings (2007-2008), Denver Nuggets (2008-2009), Indiana Pacers (2009-present).
