Alan Moore, a 61-year-old Vietnam veteran and grandfather of five, became the oldest player ever to get in a college football game. Moore kicked an extra point for NAIA Faulkner University in its season-opener.
“I knew I was going to do it,” Moore said. “It was just something that I was going to do, and I didn’t care if I died doing it.”
After making the team, Moore also moved into the college dorms for the first time since 1968.
