R&B music diva Whitney Houston and “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks sat down with “Entertainment Tonight” to discuss starring in the remake of the 1976 musical film, “Sparkle,” which is a story based on the singing group, “The Supremes.”
The remake version will feature Jordin Sparks playing the leading role of singer Sparkle Williams, and the role of her mother will be played by Houston.
The original “Sparkle” film takes place in Harlem, New York during the late 1950s and early 1960s, which follows the rough lives and careers of singer Sparkle Williams and her family and friends.
