Meet Jamila Curry, wife of NFL star Aaron Curry. Jamila and Aaron met on the popular social networking site Facebook.
Their friendship started on Facebook when the two got into some trash talk about who attended the better college. At that time, Curry attended Wake Forest University and Jamila attended Clemson University.
Curry told the Seattle Times: “It was really just a bunch of trash talk between me and her,” he said. “It turned into a really good friendship.”
Jamila jokes about meeting on Facebook: “It was only because her last name started with an A, putting her close to the top.”
Aaron proposed to Jamila, his girlfriend of nearly two years and friend of nearly five, on March 31st, 2009. Thelovely couple married the following year on July 3rd, 2010. Their beautiful wedding was held at the beautiful Lowndes Grove House in Charleston, South Carolina.
The couple has two adorable sons together.
Jamila ended up graduating first with a degree in Economics and Aaron followed with a degree in Sociology.
Aaron Curry currently plays linebacker for the Oakland Raiders. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks fourth overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. On August 8, 2009, Curry signed a six-year, $60 million contract including $34 million guaranteed with the Seahawks.
On October 12, 2011, Curry was traded to the Oakland Raiders.
