It’s official! Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed their first child into the world on Saturday at a hospital in New York City.
ABCNEWS.com reports:
“The pop music superstar gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter on Saturday night in New York, the E! network reported. The New York Daily News reported that baby’s name is Ivy Blue Carter. Representatives for Beyonce did not immediately return an ABC News request for comment. On Friday, Beyonce reportedly checked into Lenox Hill hospital where the entire fourth floor was rented out for $1.3 million, a source told the Daily News.” To keep the couple’s privacy, the hospital’s windows and surveillance cameras were blacked out and employees of the hospital reportedly had to turn in their cell phones before starting their shifts, sources told the Daily News. “
