Meet Faith King, wife of former NFL star quarterback Shaun King. Faith and Shaun met back in 2006 at a church in Las Vegas. They were introduced by Faith’s former boss and pastor, retired NFL star quarterback, Randall Cunningham.
“I was Randall’s personal assistant, church administrator and worship coordinator,” Faith said. “We started dating back in February 2007, and a few months later, I met his parents.”
The couple married on July 17th, 2010. They have a beautiful little girl together named, Ahja Moriah King.
“I would say my biggest accomplishment is being a mother and wife,” Faith said. ” Shaun is an amazing husband. He is extremely loving and caring and is a great father,” she added.
Faith is from Singapore, but grew up in Europe (Russia, Estonia, The Netherlands). She is half Eastern Indian and half Chinese. Mrs. King speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Dutch fluently. She can also understand Russian, Estonian and Indonesian.
Faith says, “I grew up traveling the world. I’ve been to about 30 countries and 60 cities overall. My parents were christian missionaries, who traveled to third world nations bringing the gospel, providing humanitarian aid to the poor, helping refugees with spiritual help, support and friendship.”
Shaun King was drafted in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 1999, King led the Buccaneers to the NFC Central title, and a victory over the Redskins in the divisional playoffs. A week later, the team fell just short of Super Bowl XXXIV when they lost the NFC Championship 11-6 to the St. Louis Rams.
King’s best professional season was in 2000, when he led the Bucs to the NFC wild card playoff game with a 10-6 record, but unfortunately lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
After King’s stint in Tampa, he moved on to play for several NFL teams including: Arizona Cardinals (2004), Detroit Lions (2006) and Indianapolis Colts (2006).
After King’s NFL career, he worked as a football analyst for ESPN in Bristol, and now serves as a commentator on the Versus Network national college football game of the week.
Also, King is currently hosting the mid-day sports talk radio show, “The King David Show,” on 1010AM in the Tampa Bay area.
