As you probably already heard, Bobby Brown walked out of his ex-wife Whitney Houston‘s funeral 20 minutes into the service.
As a result, a lot of speculation as to why Brown left the funeral so early surfaced from many sources.
To clear up speculation, Brown released an official statement on Saturday afternoon explaining why he the funeral.
In a statement released by his rep, Brown said:
“My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions.
“I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see my daughter Bobbi-Kristina.
“In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events.
However, Whitney Houston’s pastor, Joe Carter, and a few other people in attendance gave a different account of what happened at the funeral.
