NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony reached out to Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sabrina Fuller and older brother Jahvaris Fulton, 21, to meet him and the entire New York Knicks team in the locker room before a game.
Nypost.com’s Marc Berman reports:
“Carmelo Anthony said he was honored to have Trayvon Martin’s mother and brother visit the Knicks locker room before the team’s game vs. the Wizards Friday night.
Anthony invited Sybrina Fulton and Trayvon’s older brother, Jahvaris Fulton, 21, to the locker room to meet the players but they didn’t stay for the Knicks victory. Martin’s family was in New York doing an interview with Anderson Cooper.
“It was a blessing and honor,’’ Anthony said. “We all know the tragedy that happened. Bringing them to the locker room in the back, meeting all the players, meeting the coaches. We had no media there. It was something I wanted to do. I lost my sister last year so I know how it feels.’’
