Awesome: 6-Year-Old Girl Plays Beethoven’s ‘Ode To Joy’ On Her Violin For Michelle Obama

Check out this “feel good” story about a 6-year-old girl named Sydney Trapp, who serenaded First Lady Michelle Obama with a a rendition of Beethoven’s “Ode To Joy” on her violin.

After giving a performance of a lifetime, Sydney hugged the First Lady as she was visiting a local bakery Virginia.

Adorable six-year-old Sydney Trapp was visiting Mom’s Apple Pie Bakery, in Occoquan, Virginia, yesterday when America’s First Lady dropped in to buy pies.

The starstruck youngster was initially too nervous to greet Mrs Obama, putting her hands over her mouth and burying her face in her mother’s lap before she was encourage to pick up her violin.

Sydney then serenaded the First Lady with a rendition of Beethoven’s Ode To Joy, which Mrs Obama described as ‘awesome’, while the youngster’s mother Michelle took pictures from a phone.

Sydney also managed to weasel tickets to next year’s White House Easter Egg hunt.

The First Lady was travelling through the town after giving a speech in Northern Virginia as part of Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
