Puerto Rican American Olympic gymnast John Orozco chats with CNN’s Jason Carroll about trying win the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
John was born in New York, New York and is the child of Puerto Rican parents, William and Damaris. John’s father worked for the NYC Department of Sanitation for 24 years until he was forced to retire after suffering a stroke . His mother, a homemaker, drove him to and from practices 30 miles away from his childhood home in the Bronx to his gym in Chappaqua while he was growing up.
