Wow, that was quick! Theballerlife.com has learned that NFL star Chad Johnson has been released from the Miami Dolphins because of his recent domestic violence arrest.
According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Dolphins have parted ways with Johnson. As of Sunday, scouts have cleaned out the locker of the player formerly known as Chad Ochocinco. Mike Freeman of CBS Sports confirmed the story, suggesting that the Dolphins did not believe Johnson’s side of the story regarding the incident and arrest.
The Sun-sentinel.com reports:
Lozada told police Johnson became upset and grabbed her and head-butted her on the forehead causing a 3-inch laceration, according to the report. She stated Johnson began screaming “I don’t give a f—. I don’t give a f— about my career.” She then fled to a neighbor’s house to escape.
Johnson told police he yelled “f— it” and then his wife head-butted him causing the laceration. He also told police he drove away from the scene to allow his wife to calm down, according to the report.
Lozada told police she wanted to file charges, according to the report. She was treated on the scene by fire-rescue personnel, and transported to Westside Regional Hospital and discharged from the emergency room late Saturday night, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Johnson was arrested on Saturday and released earlier today. Johnson had just signed a new contract with the Dolphins in the off-season.
There are still a lot of questions to be answered. Like, who head-butted who?
Either way, nobody (man or woman) should be putting their hands on anyone period.
