Kobe Bryant’s Mission: ‘I Want To Get Rid Of Homelessness!’ [Video]

Check out this heartfelt mini documentary series of NBA superstar Kobe Bryant visiting Skid Row, the downtown Los Angeles area with the largest concentration of homeless people in the United States. to see the world through homeless eyes. He stops by the LA Mission charity and speaks to 4 incredible men seeking to improve their lives.

In the 4 part video series, TakePart TV follows Kobe Bryant as he documents an honest and unfiltered account of challenges facing residents of Skid Row.  Through Bryant’s personal and candid conversations with residents of The Los Angeles Mission, a nonprofit organization that cares for homeless people in the area by providing emergency services such as shelter, food, clothing, as well as professional medical and dental services.

In addition, the Los Angeles Mission also offers long-term residential rehabilitation programs including education, job training/placement, transitional housing and counseling.

The mini documentary below consists of 4 parts:

Part 1: Kobe Bryant talks to Anthony, a resident of the LA Mission, about growing up in an abusive household and recovering from homelessness.

Part 2: Kobe Bryant talks to Dennis, a resident of the LA Mission, about how he ended up on Skid Row and escaped gang life.

Part 3: Kobe Bryant visits LA Mission resident Kenneth to examine homelessness on Skid Row. Kenneth had planned to become a world-class sports trainer but was waylaid by drug addiction.

Part 4: Kobe Bryant speaks to Reggie, a resident of the LA Mission, about how he became homeless and how he’s striving to change his life.
