Earlier this week, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders testified in court for 3 hours against his estranged wife Pilar Sanders to get full custody of their three children and lower his child support payments.
According to Sanders, Pilar’s public allegations of abuse and infidelity is hurting his financial situation.
WFAA.com reports:
Deion Sanders says he no longer has enough money to pay for all his expenses.
Sanders told the judge he has lost several endorsements worth between $500,000 and $750,000. Among them: General Motors, Van Heusen and Foot Locker. He blamed it on disparaging public comments from Pilar Sanders portraying him as a spousal abuser.
Sanders says he took an $800,000 pay cut when the NFL Network changed his status from “employee” to “contractor.”
He asked the judge to reduce the amount of child support he pays, saying, “I can’t afford this mess.”
Pilar Sanders did not speak to reporters when she left the courtroom. But her attorney, Larry Friedman, said, “If Deion Sanders is out of money, the Dallas Cowboys are still in the playoffs.”

Hmmm, we are scratching our heads on this one. Deion does not seem like the type of guy that would just spend all of his money and go broke.
