Earlier today, Beyoncé shut down all the haters’ lip-sync criticism by singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” live acapella at a Super Bowl press conference in New Orleans.

Also, during the press conference, Beyonce talked about why she lip-synced at President Obama’s Inauguration, whether or not Destiny’s Child will take the Super Bowl stage, whether or not she will sing live on Sunday and much more.

Check out the Beyonce performance and interview below:

On lip syncing during Inauguration:

“I am a perfectionist. I practice until my feet bleed and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra. Due to the weather delay and no proper sound check, I didn’t feel comfortable taking a risk. This was an emotional show for me, so I decided to use the pre-recorded track. This day was about President Obama.”

On whether or not Destiny’s Child will take the Super Bowl stage:

“Well, I can’t really say too much unfortunately. We did just put out a new single, though. It was so exciting to hear us together again. There’s nothing like the sisterhood we have so it’s always exciting to be around them professionally and personally.”

On how she feels about performing at the Super Bowl:

“I’m so anxious [about the Superbowl]. I’m still very nervous.”

On her upcoming documentary:

“It was very interesting directing and editing myself and still putting it in the film. I feel like it’s time for people to really get to know me and to see a different side. I’m curious and scared but it’s too late; its coming out. I’m happy.”

On why she decided to be so open about Blue Ivy in the documentary:

“I feel like my job is to protect her and I’m happy to tell my story, my way.”

On whether or not she will sing live on Sunday:

“I will absolutely be singing live. I am well rehearsed and this was what I was born to do. I always sing live. This Inauguration was unfortunately a time where I could not rehearse because I was rehearsing for the Superbowl. But [singing live] was always the plan.”

On getting back to her family and taking a break after the Super Bowl:

“I’m going to enjoy my daughter. I miss her and I keep telling her mommy will be done Sunday at 9:00.”
