Theballerlife.com has learned that NBA star Kevin Durant has popped the big question to his girlfriend, Monica Wright, a guard who plays for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx.
According to reports, Monica accepted and confirmed their engagement right after the Lynx’ Sunday win over the Phoenix Mercury.
According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Durant and Wright have known each other since the 2006 McDonald’s High School All-American Game.
Wright, a 5-foot-11 guard, was the second overall pick in the 2010 WNBA draft. She is averaging 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game for the Lynx this season.
Durant and Wright have kept their relationship quiet. However, Durant and Wright have a history dating back to high school in Washington. The two ruled D.C. high school basketball in 2006.
