Theballerlife.com has learned that MLB star Prince Fielder is going through a divorce with his wife Chanel Fielder.
The Detroit Free Press reports:
According to court records in Orange County, Fla., Fielder filed a dissolution-of-marriage case on May 28, asking a judge to end his marriage to Chanel Fielder.
In the latest filing with the court Tuesday, Chanel Fielder asked for her attorney fees and costs to be covered and temporary support. The couple has two sons, Haven and Jadyn.
The couple has been married since 2005. Right before he signed with the Tigers in early 2012, Fielder and his wife had renewed their wedding vows and took a trip overseas.
In court documents, the Fielders list a condo in Michigan and a home in Windermere, Fla., near Orlando, where his wife says their children reside with her.
In the documents, Chanel Fielder claims after her husband filed for divorce, he stopped depositing income into their joint accounts and stopped paying “normal bills and expenses.” She says Fielder expects her to pay the expenses for the Florida home and she “is without sufficient income” so she is need and entitled to support for her and the children.
