In a recent interview with ThGrio.com’s Chris Witherspoon, R&B singer/actress Jennifer Hudson talked about the fear of playing the role of a heroin-addict prostitute in the new movie, “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete,” which opens today.
Hudson said taking on the role of Gloria in “Mister & Pete” movie was intimidating because she has never been high or drunk in real life.
In the movie, Hudson plays a heroin-addict prostitute with a 13-year-old son who she abandons to fend for himself when she is taken to prison.
