Check out this feel “good video” of Beyonce singing her hit song “Irreplaceable with a 13-year-old special needs girl named Sophie Kotkis at a concert in Perth, Australia.
Sophie, who is legally blind, has hearing difficulties and muscle problems, became center stage when her favorite singer dedicated her “Irreplaceable” performance to her at the Perth Arena.
The special moment was all set up by Sophie’s big sister, Ellie, who wanted to “show the world” how special her little sister is to her.
Sophie big sister Ellie told Perth Now:
“She’s never really been able to go to a concert due to logistical reasons so I made a video about Sophie,” she said. “Even with everything that she’s been through, she’s been able to do so much. She raised over $1000 for people with multiple sclerosis at the Runamuck (for the MS Society). I put that all in the video and I just said that I think someone as amazing as Sophie deserves to meet someone as amazing as you (Beyonce).”
Their family friend Kalkidan Forward, who works for children’s charity Hope for Children, helped make sure the video made its way to Beyonce’s manager, and Sophie was invited to attend Friday night’s concert. But it wasn’t until the much-loved pop star flew across the arena strapped to a harness and stopped in front of Sophie that her family realized a magic moment might just happen.
