Meet Sigourney “Siggi” Walker-Bennett, wife of NFL star Martellus Bennett.
In a 2012 interview with the NYPost.com, Martellus dished on how he first met his wife of two years Siggi.
Martellus on how they met:
“Actually when I went to an Usher concert, which is probably the best place to meet women … I was just at The House of Blues, somebody called me to go to like the after party and I went up there and she happened to be in town from school ’cause she went to Sarah Lawrence here in New York, so we met then.
On how he feels about her:
Very intelligent, outgoing, funny, stylish, caretaker. She’s a brilliant person. I care about her more than anything else in the world. I love her more than anything.
Martellus and Siggi married back in 2011. They are expecting their first child in March 2014.
Siggi, who is makeup artist and owner of “Brush by Siggi,” majored in Psychology and Writing at Sarah Lawrence College and attended Marin Academy. She also studied Fashion and Make Up Artistry at “Make-Up Designory Schools” in Burbank, California.
Martellus Bennett is currently a NFL tight end for the Chicago Bears. He was drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys and played with them and the New York Giants previously.
On March 14, 2012, he signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the New York Giants. On March 12, 2013, Bennett signed a four-year, 20 million contract with the Chicago Bears.
