Earlier this year, news hit the web reporting that NBA star Kevin Durant and WNBA star Monica Wright had broken off their engagement. Well, last week during the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx “Faith and Family night,” Monica opened up and finally shared the real reason why they broke up.

Monica revealed she called off their engagement because Kevin wasn’t on the same page with her spiritually.
Monica said:
“I was engaged last year and it kind of changed that relationship big time because I was going in a direction that unfortunately a lot of people aren’t willing to sacrifice their lifestyle for.”
