Meet Maria Hanslovan, wife of MLB star Andrew McCutchen.
Maria and Andrew first met over four years ago at PNC Park. She was a college student back then entertaining Pirates fans and he was a young baseball player.
After a long courtship, Andrew popped the big question to maria on the Ellen back in December 2013. When he proposed live on the show, Andrew told Maria … “I did this to show you that … If I could tell the whole world how much I love you, I would do that.”
Watch the proposal below:
The two married in a ceremony on November 22nd, 2014. The pair reportedly picked the 22nd date because of Andrew’s jersey number “22.”
Maria graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and forensics chemistry. Currently, she is working in marketing.
Andrew McCutchen is center fielder for the MLB’s Pittsburgh Pirates. McCutchen was drafted by the Pirates in the first round (11th overall) of the 2005 MLB Draft. He is a four-time All-Star and won the 2013 National League Most Valuable Player Award. McCutchen signed a 6 year contract at a salary of $51.50 million.
