Why ‘Empire’s’ Cookie Lyon Is The Queen Of PrimetimeTV? (Video)


“Empire” stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard sat down with ET’s Nischelle Turner and weighed in on why Taraji’s character Cookie Lyons is the queen of prime time on Fox’s Number #1 new show.


According to Nielsen results from this week, “Empire” broke a record of being the first network show in at least 23-years to grow consistently throughout the first five showings with 11.47 million total viewers that grew in overall audience for a fifth straight week.

Since “Empire’s” debut, the show has set a series high in each of it’s episodes with a total count: 1st episode – 9.9 million, 2nd episode -10.3 million, 3rd episode – 11.1 million, 4th episode – 11. 4 million and and 5th episode – 11.5 million.
