On a recent episode of Oprah’s “Super Soul Sunday,” former NBA star turned basketball analyst Jay Williams sat down with Oprah and opened up about several personal things including wanting to one day have a family, be a dad and loyal husband.

According to several news outlets, Jay, who is now single, was dating Charissa Thompson (photo below), a television host and sportscaster with Fox Sports 1 and NBC. Also, she is one of the co-hosts on Fox Sports Live and for the syndicated entertainment news show “Extra.”
The two reportedly first got together when both were employed by the World Wide Leader. At this time, we are not sure why Jay and Charissa ended their relationship.
Jay Williams was poised to become one of the biggest superstars in the NBA until a devastating motorcycle accident brought it all to a heartbreaking halt. After Jay’s big mistake cost him his career, his dreams and quite nearly his life, the former athlete began to refocus his energies on overcoming not just the physical challenges of his injuries but the spiritual and mental hurdles as well.
