Last week, Florida pastry chef Alethea Hickman agreed to make LeBron James a free $3,000 birthday cake in exchange for free publicity. However, when Hickman woke up the next day, she found out the NBA star had chosen another cake for his 27th birthday party.
Hickman is now asking James to pay her for the “not used” cake because of the 24 work hours she put in to make it.
James’ party handler, Jared Galbut, says the cake was a “sponsorship,” and no actual money, was the payoff.”
