Meet Lauren Lisoski Frye, wife of NBA star Channing Frye. Lauren and Channing were introduced by a mutual friend on the first day he arrived in Portland in 2007.
Channing says, ” We met through my best friend who went to UofA with me and was her good friend. It was my first day in Portland and we went out to dinner. It was a Tuesday so she was the only friend who would come. It was super chill. I’m a super-chill guy. Honesty is a big thing with me.
She told me she watched no basketball and had no clue who I was. I had a clean slate. I had no clue who she was. It was fun, relaxing and easy-going.”
