Mrs. Obama lit up stage telling the nation in a very inspiring, heartfelt, emotional speech that President Obama knows what it is to struggle, and for him the economic hardships facing the country “aren’t political, they’re personal.”
She also spoke about the similarities between her family and President Obama’s family.
Later she recalled the early days of their marriage, when college tuition debts were larger than their mortgage.
Mrs. Obama also defended her husband on the controversial health care reform law, framing him as a politically brave leader, who “refused to listen to all those naysayers who told him to leave health reform for another day, another president.
