Maxine Waters Speaks On President Obama’s CBC Speech: ‘I Don’t Know Who He Was Talking To Because We’re Certainly Not Complaining.’
California Democratic Representative Maxine Waters, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, chatted with CBS’ “The Early Show” about President Obama’s speech to the CBC over the weekend.
Waters, who has been critical this year of President Obama’s response to the high unemployment within the black community, said she found it “curious” that Mr. Obama told black leaders to “stop complaining.”
“I don’t know who he was talking to because we’re certainly not complaining,” Waters said. “We’re working. We support him,” added Waters.

During a recent interview on the “Piers Morgan Show,” actor Morgan Freeman tells Piers that the Republican-Tea Party represents the “weak, dark underside of America” and “we suppose to be better than that.” Freeman also says the Republican party’s deliberate opposition to President Obama is a “racist thing.”
Tavis Smiley Visits Fox News’ Sean Hannity Show To ‘Correct & Respect’ President Obama.
TV host Tavis Smiley made an appearance on Fox News’ “Sean Hannity Show” on Monday night to promote his new PBS special about the special problems facing black boys in our education system. However, conservative Republican host Sean Hannity did his best to get Smiley to criticize President Obama.
As a result, Hannity got Smiley to criticize President Obama’s economic policies, black unemployment and the wars, and talk about the president’s chances for reelection in 2012. Although Smiley took a few shots at President Obama, he still admitted that there isn’t a Republican candidate that he’d rather vote for in 2012.
