During a recent broadcast of his morning radio show, Steve Harvey put on his boxing gloves and took a punch at professor Cornel West and his sidekick Tavis Smiley for their criticism of President Obama. As of late, West and Smiley have criticized President Obama for not helping poor people and catering to the wealthy.

Reverend Al Sharpton, Tom Joyner, and now Harvey are firing back at West and Smiley.

Harvey recently clowned Smiley and West on his radio show saying:

“I was a huge fan of Cornel West,” said Harvey. “Tavis, I seen him coming a mile away. His anger started when he had a town hall meeting, President Obama couldn’t come because of the campaign trail and he sent Mrs. Obama. He has held that grudge every since. You don’t have any real basis behind your dislike for this man…you keep masking it saying it’s not about hate. Then what is it about? Poverty existed before January 20, 2008. Where was your damn bus then?”

Tavis Smiley and Professor Cornel West chat with CNN’s Carol Costello about their criticism of President Obama for not helping the poor, their nationwide “Poverty Tour” and the recent passing of the debt ceiling bill.

MSNBC Republican pundit Pat Buchanan raised some eyebrows Tuesday night when he referred to President Obama as ‘your boy’ when he talked with Al Sharpton.

“Lemme tell ya, your boy, Barack Obama, caved in on it in 2010 and he’ll cave in on it again,” Buchanan told interim MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

“My what? My president Barack Obama? What did you say?” Sharpton said.

“He’s your boy in the ring!” Buchanan responded, nervously chuckling.

President Obama tells TODAY’s Ann Curry in an exclusive interview: “There are days where I say that one term is enough.”

“I’m sure there are days where I say that one term is enough,’’ Obama said. “What keeps me going is a belief that the work that we started in 2009 is not yet complete.’’

The president also talked about how his family felt about his upcoming re-election bid after nearly four years of being under a microscope in the White House.
