Rapper Kanye West sat down with the “Today’s Show” Matt Lauer to apologize to former President Bush for calling him a racist in the midst of the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe.
During the interview, Kanye got a little disturbed when the show producers aired a clip of former President George W. Bush venting his frustration at West for calling him a racist.
Kanye griped, “I didn’t need you guys to show me the tape in order to prompt my emotions or whatever.” “I don’t need all the jazz … Can we be quiet for a second?”
But Matt Lauer had more in store for Kanye. West grumbled again when producers showed a video clip of him interrupting Taylor Swift at the 2009 VMAs.
West responded, “Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you’re going to run the thing in the middle while I’m talking?” West complained. “Please don’t let that happen again. It’s ridiculous.”
