Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson flew to Kenya and Somalia with ABC’s Nightline reporter Dan Harris and the World Food Program earlier this month to witness the effects of hunger firsthand.
The rapper turned humanitarian greeted hungry children, handed out meals and even rapped at the request of some of the kids who had walked miles to get food and medical help.
“It enlightened me in different ways,” 50 Cent said. “To actually see people under the circumstances that I saw was a totally different experience. I don’t think you can prepare yourself for that, no matter how many times you’ve seen the images.”
