After announcing a new program to encourage physical activity for military families, including free gym memberships and personal trainers, First Lady Michelle Obama, accompanied by NBA star Grant Hill, left, and tennis legend Billie Jean King, hosted an exercise event on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington. The event was part of First Lady Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign to promote physical fitness.
Mrs. Obama was also joined by council co-chair gymnast Dominique Dawes, figure skater Michelle Kwan and NBA star Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets. First Lady Obama and her celebrity guest led exercise demonstrations at different activity stations on the South Lawn for approximately eighty children and their parents.
