Theballerlife.com would like to congratulate former American Idol contestant Michael Lynche and his wife Christa for welcoming their second child into this world.

According to People.com, Christa gave birth to newborn son Kingston Michael Lynche (below) in New York City on February 22nd, 2012. Little Kingston weighed in at a healthy 7.25 lbs.

The Lynche’s first child, daughter Laila Rose (below), was born on January 13th, 2010 while Michael was away trying to make American Idol’s Top 24.

During that time, Lynche cried with joy on television when he received the good news via telephone that Christa had gone into labor and given birth to their daughter.

Lynche told People.com:

“The best part of life after Idol has been my wife Christa and my baby Laila getting to travel everywhere with me.” He adds, “Now that we’re adding a new little one to our family, we couldn’t be happier!”

Michael Lynche’s time on American Idol:

Michael Lynche was the fourth place finalist on the ninth season of American Idol. He is the second finalist ever to receive the judges’ save, which was introduced in season eight.

On April 7, 2010, Lynche was the lowest vote-getter and would have been eliminated from the competition, but the judges used their only save on him.

Lynche was eliminated from the competition on May 12, 2010, thus finishing in fourth place.

Recently, Big Mike stopped the studio of “Good Day New York” to talk about this season’s Idol contestants and dish on what he has been doing post Idol.
