Meet Nina Teresa Baham-Heisse, girlfriend and child’s mother of NFL star Earl Thomas.
Nina and Earl have a beautiful daughter together named Kaleigh Rose Thomas, who was born on September 24th, 2012.
Just hours before Nina gave birth to their adorable daughter Kaleigh, Earl, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, had a prime-time game against the Green Packers at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.
Earl was faced with two choices; Should he stay with Nina and welcome his new daughter into the world, or should he join his teammates, in front of a national audience, to take on the heavily favored Green Bay Packers? Earl decided to play.
Hours before the game, Earl tweeted about his daughters impending arrival.
Kaleigh Rose Thomas came into this world at 5:17 PM PST, roughly 15 minutes before the opening kickoff. By the second quarter of the game, mommy and baby were watching Earl Thomas and the Seattle Seahawks defense dominate the Packers.
At 6:35 Nina tweeted from her hospital room.
After the game Earl Tweeted:
In an interview with Seahawks.com writer Clare Farnsworth, Earl said, “She just brings joy to the whole household. After a long day at work, you go home and you’ve got a lot of stuff on your mind. But as soon as I see her, everything, it just clears it. It kind of gets me ready for the next day.”
“It’s just crazy to see her grow every day,” Thomas said. “It seems like something changes every day. She looks just like me, and I didn’t ever think I could create something beautiful like that. It’s just a blessing.”
Before moving to live with her soon-to-be husband Earl, Nina, who currently attends Bellevue Community College near Seattle, lived in Austin and Orange, Texas, the state where Earl attended college and played football at the University of Texas.
Currently, Earl Thomas plays safety for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. He played college football for the University of Texas and received All-American honors. He was drafted by the Seahawks with the 14th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
