Wearing pink, stripes and handcuffs, DMX spoke from Lower Buckeye Jail about his arrest this week for violating his probation.
At his concert last week, DMX said he took a swig of alcohol that landed him back in jail.
“And I realize I shouldn’t have done it. I wasn’t done with the program. They let me out. I should have protected myself better,” DMX said Saturday.
Court papers show that DMX was arrested for a slew of charges, including probation violation, ongoing use of cocaine, use of Oxycontin without a prescription and failing to submit to drug testing, to name a few.
“I’ve done everything they have asked me to do — complete programs, pay fines, community service,” DMX said. “It’s rare that I get fair treatment … It’s love or hate.”
As he waits for a hearing scheduled next week, DMX said the support of his family and fans keeps him going.
