Dirk Nowitzki’s Girlfriend Jessica Olsson

Meet Jessica Olsson, girlfriend of NBA star Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk met Jessica over the summer and has already flown to meet her parents and two brothers.

Dirk on his new girlfriend Jessica:

“Jessica is probably the best thing that happened to me this year. After the incidents in 2009, I never thought that I was so quickly on what can engage new. She is a great woman, smart and intelligent. Now let’s see just how that develops over time with us. It feels great in any case, we wait for what will come of it.”

Jessica Olsson is Swedish and works as a manager at the Art Gallery of George Michael in Dallas, Texas.

Before dating Olsson, Nowitzki had a previous high-profile relationship with his ex-fiancee, Cristal Taylor, a woman who was jailed on a theft charge and had claimed to be pregnant with his child. Tests later determined Taylor was not pregnant.

Taylor was arrested at his home on May 6, 2009 and was accused of failing to pay for expensive cosmetic dental work in Texas in 2006. Taylor received five years in prison for violating probation in a 12-year-old forgery and theft case.

Dirk revealed that the couple met via an allegedly fluke phone call.

“She told me she dialed the wrong number and was trying to call her brother,” Nowitzki said. “We talked, texted and e-mailed a lot over the next three years, but we never met. It was more of an Internet type of flirt.”

Nowitzki said the couple had no contact for months before they finally met. He said they became engaged but didn’t have a date for the wedding.

“I showed bad judgment, and that’s that. Life goes on,” Dirk said.
