Theballerlife.com just heard some very sad news. Early this morning, NFL Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend before killing himself.

This morning a player now confirmed to be linebacker Jovan Belcher walked into the Chiefs’ practice facility and shot himself in the head.
Further reports say Belcher murdered his girlfriend before killing himself. One account of the incident says Belcher was confronted by coaches at the facility and shot himself right in front of them.
To add an extra layer of horror to the whole thing, Belcher and his girlfriend just had a baby.
A four-year veteran, Belcher played his college ball in Maine and was signed by the Chiefs in 2009 after going undrafted.

Family members of Perkins told TMZ, “that when Kassandra got pregnant, she and Jovan were “ecstatic.” The family says ever since the baby was born in September, the two couldn’t have seemed happier together.”
According to the Kansas City Police Department, Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend early on Saturday morning. He then is said to have driven to the team facility and committed suicide in front of his coach, Romeo Crennel and general manager Scott Piol.
Jovan Belcher and Kassandra Perkins welcomed their first child together in September of 2012. Police state that Perkin’s mother witnessed the shooting of her daughter. This horrific act is cruel enough, only be more heinous for a mother to witness her child being killed.
