Over the weekend, Serena Williams won the French Open title against Russian opponent Maria Sharapova in a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the Roland Garros stadium.
It is the first time Serena has won the French Open in 11 years, with the first win against her sister Venus Williams in the 2002 championship.
Serena now leads all active women in tennis with 16 Grand Slam titles and is sixth on the all-time list. She is now the oldest woman to win the French Open title.
During the trophy ceremony yesterday, Serena gave her acceptance speech entirely in French.
Check out the speech below:
This is not the first time Serena has gave an acceptance in another language. Back in May, Serena spoke Italian while accepting the Rome Masters trophy.
