Theballerlife.com has learned that actress Rutina Wesley, 34, has filed for divorce from her husband of 8 years Jacob Fishel citing irreconcilable differences.
According to papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Wesley, who wed Fishel in June 2005, asks in the documents that the judge deny Fishel any spousal support.
The pair has been separated since July. They have no children together.
Back in 2010, Wesley gushed about Fishel, her former Juilliard grad school peer, telling Essence, “We thought, ‘If we could spend four years together at this crazy school, then we can make it the rest of our lives.
Rutina and Jacob met at Juilliard back when they were students … and tied the knot when they graduated in June, 2005.
