Meet Cheryl Caldwell, wife of the NFL’s Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell.
Cheryl, Jim’s wife of 37 years, has been with him all along his coaching journey which started when he was a graduate assistant at Iowa in 1977.
They started dating when they were 15 in Beloit, Wisc., which they still call home even though they haven’t lived there since they were teen-agers.
Jim and Cheryl have four children together: sons Jimmy, Jermaine, Jared and daughter Natalie.
In an effort to help less fortunate children, the couple created the Jim and Cheryl Caldwell Foundation in 2009, when he became head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.
Before taking the head coaching job with the Detriot Lions, Caldwell served as the head football coach at Wake Forest University from 1993 to 2000 and as the head coach of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts from 2009 to 2011.
