Meet Leah Brown Harris, wife of NFL player Chris Harris.
Chris and Leah are college sweethearts, who first met in a Bible study at Kansas University.
He didn’t ask her out then. He waited. And when four years had passed, Chris Harris still couldn’t get Leah Brown off his mind.
Leah says, “It was after college. I just remember he sent me a little email and said, ‘Hey, I haven’t talked to you in a while,” says Leah, who was also a student at KU. “And he gave me his phone number.
“I said, ‘Oh, I don’t call guys. Here’s my number. You call me.'”
After Chris and Leah started dating, Chris’ friends couldn’t figure out whom he was dating. Leah didn’t party. She wasn’t in the club Saturdays. Leah says, “I was in church.”
Chris says, “When you get married, it’s a covenant between me, her and God. That’s the only thing that makes it work,” he says. “It’s kind of cool that I met her at Bible study. Meeting her there, that was a pretty big sign, really.”
Chris and Leah Harris married in 2012. On October 25th 2014, Leah gave birth to the couple’s first child, a daughter named Aria.
Along with being a full time mom and NFL wife, Leah also owns and runs a clothing business named “My Timeless Impression.”
Leah’s company, “My Timeless Impression,” is a business that started from one of her husband Chris’ favorite hobbies; transforming manly fan sports attire to feminine one of a kind pieces.
“It started out as a way to support my man” Leah Harris said. “I noticed girls wearing over-sized jersey’s and not feeling feminine about the impression they were making.”
A one-woman machine, she does it all — from alterations to custom designs. Clients have the option to pick out a pre-made piece or come to Harris with something they want dazzled up.
Leah says, “I’m from a really crafty family. My mom is from the Philippines, and growing up she made all of our clothes, so I think that is how I really got into arts and crafts.”
Christopher Harris, Jr. currently plays cornerback for the NFL’s Denver Broncos. Harris played college football for the University of Kansas. Harris signed with the Denver Broncos as a free agent on July 27th, 2011 and earned NFL All Rookie Team and Breakout Player of the Year accolades.
