The couple surprised many family and friends to say the least when they got married last year. Why you ask? Well, two weeks before he proposed to Jewell, Smith had reportedly still been in a relationship with his girlfriend of two years, Ashley Weatherspoon. In fact, Weatherspoon was spotted sitting with several other Cleveland Cavaliers wives and girlfriends during the 2015 NBA Finals.

Smith and Jewell married in mid August 2015 after getting engaged in one of the most cutest ways. So how did it happen? Well, Smith and the couple’s daughter, Demi, surprised Jewell by whipping out a ring box with a shiny diamond and asking her mother: “Mommy, will you marry us?”
