Meet Naomy Grand’Pierre, the first female swimmer to compete for Haiti in the Olympics.

Naomy, 19, an American student who just completed her freshman year at the University of Chicago, was inspired to take up swimming when she was 10 years after a four of her mother’s cousins drowned back in Haiti.
