Here is a wedding photo of Steve Mcnair and his wife Michelle Cartwright. Mcnair married Mechelle on June 21, 1997. Mcnair’s wedding was attended by more than 1,500 people, making it one of Mississippi’s biggest social events of the year.
Mechelle was unaware of Steve’s affair with Sahel Kazemi until his murder. Mechelle was blindsided by the affair, a source told the NY Daily News. The source also said “She’s crushed. Her whole world is shattered.”

I feel sorry for Steve McNairs wife. But I don’t think he deserved to die for his actions. I have been married for 9 years and have recently found out that my husband had an affair for about a year with this ugly white woman. I saw a change in his behavior and asked him did he have something to tell me, he replied no. Once I had conformation that he indeed had sex with this woman, I asked him if he wanted a divorce and why is he still here if he loves her? He stated that he does not love her and don’t know why he did it, but I saw emails where he constantly told her he loves her and did not love me. He has ended his relationship with her but we are not good, well I am still heart broken. As a wife, we wonder why? Why does he cheat when he has everything at home, I cook, I clean, I am good with our money, I take good care of our children and I am good in bed, will try anything, so I don’t get it. I am sure his wife saw the signs as I did but she was probably heart broken and numb as I am. My prayers go out to her and her family.

This is a tragic situation. The perpetrator was obviously immature and unfamiliar with the rules of the game she was involved in. An experienced side piece never expects marriage and fully realizes going in that sex, clothes, cars, trips, and jewelry are the “perks” of her immoral entanglement with a married man.
The victims here are Steve’s family members. Time will heal their wounds but I don’t think for one minute that this entire mess will discourage professional athletes from honing in on horny, hungry, jump offs who are ready and willing to creep with them be they African American or not.
What I often wonder when news of an athletes infidelity is broadcast is why the individual just didn’t stay single. You can dip as much as you want with whomever you want with little or no drama because if you let your paramours know up front what time it is (I am not going to marry you, just want to have fun, are you OK with this?) then your life should be relatively easy. You don’t intentionally hurt anyone else and you don’t get hurt. Men are so stupid.
I have yet to see a man stand up against these selfish little boys and call them out. It’s always women doing it. We are stuck teaching all you grown ass men how to act. And now I would like to input on the last response stated that”Steve Mcnair” wife knew he was cheating all the time .First of all marraige is not a game nor a joke if Steve Mcnair,was un happy thats all he had to say and get a divorce how hard was that. I think that his wife had to have had some inclination as to what her man was up to. Women know their men…trust me when I say…women know their men. I think part of her coping mechanism is to play the “I didn’t know role”…she may not have knew her name…but trust me…she knew. The more successful a man gets the further away from his roots he grows. This is a great tragedy, the bible does says he without fault cast the first stone, so who are we to judge. The bible also states that all unrighteousness is sin; however some wrong can be costly like in this case. This is devastating, but no one is the blame except the victims. Steve had a void in his life and he was looking in all the wrong places to fill it. I pray for his wife, children and family that the Lord will give them strength and that God will hold them in the palms of his hands and give them a peace that will surpass any peace.

I agree his wife was a beautiful woman. The 20 year old probably watch the Governors stuggle to get over his affair and when he said he will try to work it out with his wife. They also had 4 boys…she knew it was over. Too young to know that all men that are cheating on their wives say their going to divorce their wife and marry them…so so sad.
