Ms. Drama caught up with Chairwoman of TV One, Cathy Hughes to discuss the new network programming. While talking about TV1’s vision of focusing on a more positive portrayal of black people and especially black women, Hughes comments on Monique’s performance in the movie “Precious” as “the worst portrayal of a black women that’s ever been in cinema”. She also addresses Halle Berry’s Oscar winning performance in the movie “Monster’s Ball.”
